August 3rd Bulletin & Parish Updates
Please find attached the bulletin for Sunday, August 3rd. Please share this information with any parishioners who are not on Flocknote.
As a reminder, we continue to live stream Mass on our Facebook page on Sundays at 10:30 AM for our homebound parishioners and those who are considered more susceptible to COVID-19.
Sunday, August 3rd Bulletin
For those attending Mass this weekend: all precautions must be taken (wearing of masks, maintaining a six-foot distance, no physical contact except for communion, frequent washing of hands and sanitizing surfaces).
At 25% of capacity, St. Matthew Church can hold 100 individuals and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church can hold 50 individuals. We will have greeters at the doorways of each church counting the number of individuals arriving for Mass. Please note that we are prepared to set up a live stream of the Mass in the basement of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for any overflow crowd. Greeters will direct you downstairs if this becomes necessary.
Entry at St. Matthew Church will be through the main doors on Warburton Avenue only. Exit at St. Matthew Church will be through the side door on Villard Avenue only. At Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, entry and exit will remain through the main doors at the back of the church; those in the overflow area in the basement will exit through the basement doors.
Please note that a dispensation from Sunday Obligation is still in effect for those who are not comfortable returning at this time.
Your Offerings to the Parish
As a reminder, due to COVID-19 concerns, ushers are not taking up collections during the offertory hymn. In the back of each church, there are baskets set up for parishioners to leave their donations. On weekends when multiple collections are scheduled, you may place both envelopes in the same basket. The ushers will securely deposit these donations at the end of each Mass.
We wish to again take a moment to thank all our parishioners who have continued to send in their weekly or monthly donations via U.S. Mail or through ParishGiving. Thank you all for your generosity!
Foodtown Gives Back Program
The parish received $350.83 for the month of May from the Foodtown Gives Back program! Thank you to the 142 parishioners who have signed up to participate in the program.
