St. Patrick's Day Party A Great Success
A great time was had by the 150 attendees at our annual St. Patrick’s Day party! Special thanks to the committee who spent many hours putting together the party: Lee Kinnally, Joe Muldoon, Nancy Maleska, Kathleen Ryan and Patricia Ryan. We also want to thank our Confirmation students who volunteered to staff the arts and crafts table for our youngest attendees!

Parish Youth Ministry Kickoff Event - March 22nd
We are happy to announce the new youth ministry program at St. Matthew and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish!
STMOLPH Youth Ministry is a high school-aged community of teens who are called to stand up and make a difference in the lives around us to show the love of Christ.
The parish's Youth Ministry kickoff event will be held on Sunday, March 22nd, after the 11 AM Mass in the St. Matthew Church Rectory Meeting Room. Join us for brunch as we have lively discussions about what a youth ministry should look like in today's world.

Give Online - Sign Up for Parish Giving!
A great way to support St. Matthew and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish is to sign up for electronic giving through Parish Giving. Dozens of parishioners each week donate via electronic transfers to the parish. No more writing checks or worrying about having the right amount of cash for the collection basket! You can change the amount you are giving at any time, and schedule additional amounts for second collections or holy day collections, as well!
To begin the registration process, simply click the button below. If you have any questions about Parish Giving, please call the rectory at 478-2822 and speak with Christine.
Parish Giving Registration
The parish received a deposit from Foodtown of $317.52 for purchases made by parishioners in January 2020. Thank you to the 138 parishioners who are registered to participate in this FREE program.
However, we could be earning an even greater sum if more of our parishioners signed up to participate. All you have to do is provide your 12-digit Foodtown barcode number to the office by clicking the button below & you will be enrolled. You find this number on the back of your Foodtown key chain. That's it!

Stations of the Cross This Friday
The parish will once again be having the Stations of the Cross in each church on the Fridays of Lent. The stations will begin at 7 PM.
This traditional devotion retraces the steps taken by Jesus as he was led to Calvary to be crucified and then ultimately laid in the tomb.
All parishioners are encouraged to participate in the stations this Lenten season! To learn more about the Stations of the Cross, please

Second Collection This Weekend
The second collection this weekend is the monthly collection for maintenance and repairs. As a parish with seven buildings (two churches, two schools, two rectories and a convent), maintenance issues arise which may not be fully budgeted. Your contribution to this monthly collection helps keep the parish running. Thank you for your generosity!
Cardinal's Appeal 2020
On this 40th anniversary of the
Cardinal's Annual Stewardship Appeal
, we are focusing entirely on keeping parishes healthy and vibrant. This means making sure underfunded parishes can afford to keep their doors open. It means training your future priests at Saint Joseph’s Seminary and caring for your beloved former pastors at the St. John Vianney Center for Retired Priests. It means supporting our Catholic schools, 128 of which are part of or located at parishes and provide a top-notch, Christ-centered education to almost 36,000 young people.
Please join your fellow parishioners in stewardship and help us achieve our parish goal of $78,000.
To date, we have received $11,595 from 35 donors.
If you choose to donate online, please ensure that you select your gift to go to St. Matthew and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. If you choose to mail in your payment, please note on the check memo our parish ID #359. Thank you!

Archdiocesan Response to Coronavirus
In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak impacting our area, the Archdiocese released last Friday a set of measures which the parish has implemented. These include exchanging the sign of peace without physical contact, encouraging all parishioners to receive the Eucharist in the hand versus on the tongue and staying home when ill and making a spiritual communion. To read the full announcement from the Archdiocese, please
