10 parishioners took part in our two CPR/AED training classes last week at OLPH Church. We are so thankful to Angela Reeve for offering this vital training at no cost to parishioners!
We hope to offer more classes later in the year.
At R: Vanessa Carlos, Sr. John Agnes, Nancy Maleska and Lin Reyes hone their CPR skills!
4th Annual St. Patrick's Day Party - Sunday, March 8th!

Second Collection This Sunday - Peter's Pence
This weekend, we will take up the Peter’s Pence Collection, which provides Pope Francis with the funds to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Thank you as always for your generosity. For more information, please visit
CYO Toiletry Drive Underway
There is still time to drop off trial size items for the STMOLPH Saints CYO Toiletry Drive!
We will also be collecting white XL t-shirts. Collection bins are set up at home games in both the Ardsley and Hastings gyms, as well as in the back of each church.
At the end of the season, players will come together to "stuff the shirts" with the toiletries before they are donated.
Great job by the 6th Grade Boys White Team in collecting items!
Cardinal's Appeal 2020
On this 40th anniversary of the
Cardinal's Annual Stewardship Appeal
, we are focusing entirely on keeping parishes healthy and vibrant. This means making sure underfunded parishes can afford to keep their doors open. It means training your future priests at Saint Joseph’s Seminary and caring for your beloved former pastors at the St. John Vianney Center for Retired Priests. it means supporting our Catholic schools, 128 of which are part of or located at parishes and provide a top-notch, Christ-centered education to almost 36,000 young people.
Please join your fellow parishioners in stewardship and help us achieve our parish goal of $78,000.
If you choose to donate online, please ensure that you select your gift to go to St. Matthew and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. If you choose to mail in your payment, please note on the check memo our parish ID #391. Thank you!

Those Were the Days: Why All in the Family Still Matters - Feb. 23rd
Between 1971 and 1979,
All in the Family
was more than just a wildly popular television sitcom that routinely drew 50 million viewers weekly. It was also a touchstone of American life, so much so that the living room chairs of the two main characters have spent the last 40 years on display at the Smithsonian. How did a show this controversial and boundary-breaking manage to become so widely beloved?
Come join St. Matthew/OLPH parishioner Jim Cullen for an overview, screening and discussion of his new book, Those Were the Days: Why All in the Family Still Matters.
The discussion will be held on Sunday, February 23, from 3 to 5 PM in the OLPH Church Meeting Room. Refreshments will be served.
Copies of Jim Cullen's book will be available for purchase!
