Envelopes for All Saints Day and All Souls Day can be placed in the collection this weekend (October 31 & November 1).
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
“For citizens in a representative democracy such as our own, participation in public life—including voting—is both a right and a responsibility,” said Archbishop Paul S. Coakley, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in a message leading up to Election Day in the United States.
“Pope Leo XIV has exercised his right to vote as a United States citizen, whenever he was eligible to do so. The Holy See Press Office confirms that in keeping with this long-standing practice of civic participation, he has submitted his mail-in ballot in Chicago. The Holy Father expresses his belief in the right and the duty of citizens to participate in the democratic processes,” said Vatican News.
Make a plan and vote! Early voting is open this weekend from 10 AM to 6 PM and polls are open on Election Day from 6 AM to 9 PM.
