With heavy hearts, but in the hope of the Resurrection, we share the news that Msgr. Francis Gorman died on December 30, 2025. Msgr. Gorman served as a weekend associate at St. Matthew Church from 2010 to 2018.
Parish Food Collection This Weekend
A reminder that the monthly food collection for the Hastings Food Pantry will take place this weekend at all Masses.
The food pantry is in most need of pancake mix, syrup and hot and cold cereals.
Please no glass, open or expired items, and please do not leave food donations at other times.

On January 27, the St. Thomas More Catholic Laity of the Rivertowns presents a talk by Mr. David Bonagura on Transhumanism, AI and Catholicism: The Battle of Wills.

Ministry to Homebound Parishioners
For those parishioners who are homebound or elderly, please reach out to the Rectory if you are interested in having a priest visit to hear your confession, receive the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick and receive Holy Communion.

In the event of a weather related cancellation (Mass, Religious Education), we will do our best to notify all through Flocknote.
Please note that from December 26 through the end of January, while Fr. Nicholas is away, the 8 a.m. Mass at OLPH will automatically be cancelled if there is bad weather.
The Little Sisters of the Poor, who operate Jeanne Jugan Residence in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx, have private rooms with private bathroom/shower available for low-income seniors aged 65 and older. The rent is on a sliding-scale based on income; all utilities are included.
